The Keynote boom count

8 02 2007

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

That is pretty much the entire audio track of this video composite that was created. It catalogs several of the “BOOM” exclamations made by the Steve himself. I never noticed it before but he really does say that alot.

Enjoy

Because Cops Don’t Look Dorky Enough on Segways: The T3 Motion

24 10 2006

So beyond the supposed safety of three wheels and the higher probability of popping a wheeling and tipping backwards, what is the point??

BUT, it does have an LED lighting system AND a lockable glove box!

Changes to the Mole’s categorization

13 10 2006

Some new categories have been added to this blog. I have added the categories “Mac Tips and Tricks“, “Rumors” and “New Product“, these will both be primarily sub-headings under the Technology and “Apple Macintosh” category. I noticed over the last couple weeks that the focus of many of my posts have been Tech related and I felt that there needed to be more clarity of the content that I put in this category.

The new “Mac Tips and Tricks” category will be for the occasional new tidbit of advice and things I come across that I find useful and informational.  And hopefully worthwhile to you as well.

I hope the new organization will make it easier for you as readers to keep up with things, so if you have a comment, good or bad, please let me know. I would also welcome any constructive criticisms you may have in regards to the content, my theme, my posts, or anything in general about this site.

Thanks for visiting and please come back often and comment. I am always interested to hear others viewpoints.

A true “backfire”?!?!

12 10 2006

Amazingly this Australian woman survived a lightning strike that entered her physical body and exited through her anus.  What saved her? The rubber soled house shoes she was wearing, otherwise the bolt would have grounded through her body and incinerated her insides.

I guess this is a lesson to think twice about showering, or even drinking from our faucets during thunderstorms.  You just never know…

‘PC’ talks about his recent commercial success

10 10 2006

Do you just love those brilliant new Mac ads?  Does PC just have you rolling on the floor with hysteria, leaving you with a sense of contemptment knowing you have done yourself and the world so much good by owning a Mac?  Or at least leaving you wishing you had a Mac?

Well PC has done an interview with Engadget. John Hodgman  answers some questions about how he got the gig and how really feels about PCs and Mac’s

Would you like to hear this Presidential Speech from a US President?

6 10 2006

I received the following content in an email forward. I typically have a strong distaste for forwards, however this one seemed to strike a different cord. I am not saying that I agree or disagree with the following but found it interesting and worth passing on to you all.

I would greatly appreciate to hear your comments about it. This is essentially a good combination of what the American people are looking for, at least it would seem so if you listen to our media. And on that note, any media personnel or journalists who read this, I beg you to comment on this to get your perspective. As I see this bearing a lot of weight on the work you do.

The Tech Geek theme song

6 10 2006

This music video is very comprehensive of the “geek”.  I can say this and I find much humor in this because I AM a self-proclaimed geek, and I am unashamed of it.  So if you are unfamiliar with it you can find many laughs from this hilarious video, if you are familiar with it, prepare to embrace your life’s theme.

From Weird Al’s newest album, the following video is “White & Nerdy”. ENJOY! :)

Quote of the week

24 09 2006

This blog post from Matsu depicts a very interesting proverb spoken an unexpected person, Vince Vaughn.

You can get so much done when no one cares who gets credit.” Vince Vaughn (TV Interview, 2006)

I would have prefaced the saying with “A wise man once said…” but somehow just didn’t seem fitting to equate Vince Vaughn with ancient wise men, I’m not sure why? Although the message behind the saying is very profound and wise.

A recipe only a cat “owner” could love

15 08 2006

OK — to start, I AM NOT, a person that usually reads forwards, let alone pass them on.

That said, this one I could not pass up.  Maybe it is because I am stressed right now and it was rather humorous, I dont know.  But this does have to be taken with a bit of salt in order to appreciate it, and mostly cat lovers will like it.  Now I am not sure of the delectibleness of it, but it all sounds good.

CAKE INGREDIENTS:
1 box spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 box of white cake mix
1 package white sandwich cookies
1 large package vanilla instant pudding mix
A few drops green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls or equivalent

SERVING “DISHES AND UTENSILS”
1 NEW cat-litter box
1 NEW cat-litter box liner
1 NEW pooper scooper

1) Prepare and bake cake mixes, according to directions, in any size pan. Prepare pudding and chill. Crumble cookies in small batches in blender or food processor. Add a few drops of green food coloring to 1 cup of cookie crumbs. Mix with a fork or shake in a jar. Set aside.

2) When cakes are at room temperature, crumble them into a large bowl. Toss with half of the remaining cookie crumbs and enough pudding to make the mixture moist but not soggy. Place liner in litter box and pour in mixture.

3) Unwrap 3 Tootsie Rolls and heat in a microwave until soft and pliable. Shape
the blunt ends into slightly curved points. Repeat with three more rolls. Bury the rolls decoratively in the cake mixture. Sprinkle remaining white cookie crumbs over the mixture, then scatter green crumbs lightly over top.

4) Heat 5 more Tootsie Rolls until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake and sprinkle with crumbs from the litter box. Heat the remaining Tootsie Roll until pliable and hang it over the edge of the box. Place box on a sheet of newspaper and serve with scooper. Enjoy!
